A Metaserv pre-grinder, which is approximately 20 years old (at least), has been updated with new water feed.  The splash guards on these machines do not stand the test of time but we have the solution to stop the splashes during grinding - bet you cannot guess what it's made from??   Anyway it took two of them, a damaged finger and a lot of time - but the results are excellent!  Let's hope this system gives another good few years.  Great job Service Department.

During September the weather was particularly dry but the team at Spectrographic were kept too busy to enjoy the sunshine. We have had a number of new installations for microscopes, metallurgical sample preparation equipment and a few hardness testers. There were some incredibly interesting applications in the Aerospace industry.  We also installed in automotive and oil related industries and have had visitors to our showroom - all the way from Ireland. We found most of our new business coming from referrals – so that's a fantastic sign, we must be doing something right! The people you know and trust.

Spectrographic was extremely proud to be a sponsor of the RAMS 2014 Conference held at the University of Bath, on the 11 th   & 12 th   September 2014. We are really pleased to be part of a very successful, interesting and well attended event. The presentations were of a very high quality and covered a wide range of subject areas. The refreshments were superb and the conference dinner excellent.
