Huvitz objective range |
This particular feature is very important when considering which microscope objective to use in the application of viewing samples using a microscope. A high NA value allows the microscope user to focus on the finer details that would not be possible with an inferior optical system (low NA). Using a low NA system - fine details would not be resolved under a microscope. But with the resolving power of high NA objectives it separates the features and allows the user to view more detail of the structure. This is an important consideration when viewing the laminar structure of cementite.
An objective with a high numerical aperture (NA) with good resolution to offer improved clarity to reveal the nature of the structure. Whereas an objective with a lower NA will not allow the user to view the detail of the micro structure under the microscope.
The 100x objective has a NA of 0.9 and a working distance of 1mm and can resolve feature of 0.37 micron
